Timeline: After "Wakey Wakey Talrian"
on
Treatment Center
It seemed that the center hadn't been used, though there were some tools on the floor like they had been thrown there. That however was put to the back of Lochlan's mind as their guest was put into the surgery bay and the medical staff do their thing.
"Ensign Sprint," Dae said as he came up to the security officer. "I want you to go back to the Righteous and work with Ops. Prepare a couple dozen drones with complete sensor arrays then deploy them throughout the station. I want to us to know as much as we can about this station as soon as possible." Dae was still upset over the unseen and unprevented attack on Garber. The suspect of that attack was still out there, somewhere on the station. And where there was one, there could be two. Or two hundred. That their sensors and movement were still restricted despite Noir's granting of command access also bothered him. "Barring any contradictory orders from Noir, this takes precedence."
"Understood." Corus replied and made his way back to the ship.
Lochlan watched the medical staff treat Talrian and was dying to ask questions but had to wait.
Biraka worked quietly for a few minutes, then stepped away to grab some more equipment. There was some nerve damage, along with muscular damage. "This will take a while to stitch everything back together," Biraka explained. "But, it's not beyond repair. So, I just require your patience."
"You have whatever you need," Talrian said, mostly relieved to hear the prognosis. He let out a breath he'd been holding for weeks it seemed. "Could you run a quantum signature scan?" Talrian asked, as he did his best to keep from watching hawklike over the medical personnel working on his leg. Despite the appearance of advanced Starfleet - he couldn't yet separate out his extreme dislike of "the Federation" enemies he'd fought for the last six years - technology, he worried that the damage to the limb was too much. He asked to have the scan done because he wanted to know if he'd returned home somehow or if he were in yet another alternate dimension. Still - it already seemed better than their last. "And on Sergeant Corvus as well when you bring him out of stasis? We're from the same quantum signature so they should be the same."
He took a breath. "I'm sure you have questions, Commander?" he said to the Starfleet commander standing just off the side of the biobed. "I'd appreciate the distraction of not being able to answer your questions at the moment."
"Not to worry Captain. I'll have the scan done while we wait." Lochlan said then he glanced to Biraka, "though we are aboard an unknown station and time may be limited," he stated, leaving unspoken words in the hope of encouragement to work quickly. He smiled then turned back to Talrian, "rest up and we will talk later."
He turned to all those present. "Dae continue to explore the station, Security personnel only for the next 3 hours rotating shifts of course. Make sure your teams log everything and report back. Everyone else return to the Righteous and get some rest. We will set up a command post in the stasis chamber so we can keep an eye on those inside and the medical facilities are close by after Security has scouted. Any questions?"
"No, Commander," Dae said as he looked around, nodding to the security officers to congregate in the corridor. He, too, wondered about the quantum scan. Not that he failed to trust anybody that they decanted from the pods but...well...he failed to trust anyone they decanted from the pods until they proved him wrong on that score. He also hoped Corus would be able to get those drones programmed and out in a hurry. "Well, maybe a few," Dae said with a self effacing shrug. "How are we going to handle getting the others out of the pods?"
"Any suggestions?" Lochlan asked, he had a few of his own but he wanted to hear what Dae recommended as it seemed that he had some.
"There was the one right across from this...captain. He had weapons and what appeared to be battle armor. Could be a problem. I'd like for him to be neutralized as a threat before we begin splitting up all the resources. Then maybe inventory the rest to see if there are more who present potential threats."
=/\= "Sprint to Dae, drones are ready and I'll send them through the airlock." =/\= Corus' voice said.
Lochlan raised an eyebrow at Dae as he was close enough to hear the Master-At-Arms.
"Good work, Corus. Release the krakens!" Dae said, smiling if only to himself. He then caught Noir's look of curiosity. "Sending drones throughout the station to obtain as much information as possible, to include the identity of who attacked Garber."
"Very well," Lock replied with a nod. He hoped the drones may be able to find out more, and there is no risk to life, drones can be repaired and build new ones.
=/\="Aye sir, krakens..."=/\= Corus laughed just before the channel closed.
"How long until I can be of use to the teams, Doc?" Talrian asked Biraka.
"It will take at least an hour before the stitching will be completed. From that point, it depends on how quickly you want to move. I would suggest you take it easy at first. Though the tissue integrity will be 100%, your stamina may not be," Biraka answered.
Talrian frowned slightly as he looked at his leg. "Thank you, Doctor." He let out a sigh. He was sure he could wait at least that long. if not longer. After all, an hour ago his future looked to be cloned leg and forced retirement to some farm colony. All in all, this was a vast improvement.
Time Jump 1 hour and 30 minutes, Recovery Bay, Treatment Center
Biraka moved the regeneration equipment away from the bed and reviewed the final scans. "Ready to try it out?
Talrian nodded but remained quiet. He took a breath while he shifted to the edge of the bed. Already the flesh appeared normal, maybe some muscle waste from three weeks of non use, but that was just a matter of conditioning. At least the bloating and discoloration was gone. Gingerly, expecting the pain, he stood. He put his weight on the good foot to begin with but then slowly shifted. His face lit up as he smiled. "So good not to be in pain anymore, thank you, Doctor!"
Lochlan tapped the chime for the bay room that Biraka and his patient, one of those that had been in stasis and hopefully had answers to what was going on, were in. He had to consider the possibility that Talrian didn't know anything more than the Righteous crew knew, so he braced for that as well as he waited for Biraka.
"Ready for visitors?" Biraka asked at the sound of the chime.
Talrian wasn't normally an outgoing people person, but he'd spent weeks alone with just the last survivor of his original command. He felt he could stand dealing with people for a bit more. Almost craved the interaction, actually. "Yes, Doctor," he said, still standing because he could. Only a great effort of will kept him from pacing. "Definitely, if that's okay. I don't want to get medically relieved of duty so soon after returning."
"Come on in, Captain." Biraka said, opening the passage to the recovery bay.
"Sorry to interrupt you Doctor, and your recovery Captain Bran but as you both could imagine we have many questions about how you ended up in Stasis onboard a station not of this universe?" Lock asked as he smiled at both while he walked up to a respectful 1 metre away.
"Yes, Commander. I'll do what I can but I can't give you specifics on this station. Just...we were brought in, rescued really, and then herded to the cargo bay and the stasis pods there. Without getting to my shrike, I couldn't even tell you how long I was in stasis." Talrian finally sat again on the edge of the biobed. "But I'll try to give you what information I have."
Lochlan smiled. "Well I can tell you that this station was commanded by my counterpart from their universe as the computer recognizes me as Commanding Officer." He began, "the other news is your quantum scan matches ours, so you are home. However, I'm sure we have some intelligence we are dealing with aboard and it may not let us leave."
He would ask about the Shrike later. "We checked our records, it showed you and your team while assigned to the Atlantis. All were listed as lost. May I ask what happened to you all?" Lock inquired.
