Ensign Aemrialis had just finished the last of the Sciences department innoculations, the Head Nurse turned around to see Doctor Thyrza Keer on the floor and unsure of just how long ago she'd lost consciousness. The Denobulan male frowned, doctors made the worst patients Aemrialis thought annoyed, along with others who had noticed rushed to put Keer onto a biobed to scan.

"I could have sworn she'd injected herself in the first batches," one of the other nurses commented as Aemrialis' medical tricorder analyzed Keer's status.

"Looks like she didn't." Aemrialis stated firmly to the nurses, medical officers and technicians who came to Keer's aid after he did a quick scan of Keer.

Navesa had been working all morning on trying to get all inoculation reports to the Captain before 1100. Each report needed additional commentary about the efficacy of each inoculation and the patient response, beyond just normal medical indicators of the condition of the patient. The Captain wanted to be certain that everyone was 'squared away' and healthy enough for the next phase of the mission. As Navesa was typing up a report on the last patient, she heard a commotion come from the main sickbay area. A sound of a loud groan and a body falling to the floor. She rose immediately and went from her side office around the corner to see the Chief Medical Officer lying on the floor but quickly being picked up and moved to a medical bed for examination. As the team moved to secure the CMO and prep her, Navesa stepped into the room properly and moved over to check Keer's vitals by hand, ignoring the medbed's data to make sure it corroborated, "We need to get her into stasis. Prep a chamber and we'll prep her to go into it. Move people."

As soon as the nurses acknowledged her order, Navesa tapped her combadge and contacted the Captain, "Captain, Commander Umyal, Commander Thyrza Keer has received too much radiation exposure so I am putting her into stasis and taking command of the Medical department. Please come to Sickbay when you have a chance."

While the conversation happened, as short as it was, Navesa assisted the nurses in getting the CMO into proper stasis attire, a series of pyjama-like clothes that would be comfortable, and injected with the necessary medication via hypospray that allowed the body's systems to enter a state that was appropriate and safe for stasis. Once completed, the team lifted and manoeuvered her into the stasis chamber and locked her inside. Within minutes, they had placed her into stasis and keep her condition from deteriorating any further. Navesa gave a sigh and nodded to the team, "I'll prep the after event report on this. Continue the inoculations and I will have to switch commands over once the Captain comes to Sickbay."

The nurses acknowledged and Navesa returned to her office, waiting for the Captain to arrive, working on those patient reports.

They all got to work. Commander Umyal took charge of the situation and Aemrialis assisted being Head Nurse. Once Keer was prepared for Stasis and the nurses helped Umyal put her in, Aemrialis was programming the stasis draw with the relevant code for theta radiation poisoning.

As soon as he could step away he knew he'd have to make a report. He was about to make his way into the Chief's office to make that report to the Bridge but Umyal told them she would do the report and informed the Captain about the situation.

Aemrialis nodded at the Commander but sighed as he'd have to take the initiative to step up and help the Assistant Chief Medical Officer Commander Umyal with running the Medical department until she was named Chief or someone else was and someone was placed as Assistant Chief.

"Understood Commander, thank you and your team, I'll be there soon. Keys out." He definitely sounded sad at first but then appreciative towards the end of the call.
